Introduction

We have a dedicated ‘Training and Placement Cell’ at Dr. C. V. Raman University. Our vision is to bridge the gap between Industry and academia. We provide training at all levels to improve the quality of students.

All the courses at the University are designed to make the students ready to be absorbed in the market. Apart from the mandatory technical skills, it is also made sure that they acquire other qualities as well, that play an important role in climbing the career ladder with special focus on improving their soft skills. Training and Placement Cell plays this role to make students ready for industry.

VIHAN Program

VIHAN is a campus recruitment training program uniquely offered by us. This program is designed to develop student’s skills and prepare them for the job market.

In the VIHAN Program, we also provide guidance to students for Government sector jobs.

Career Counselling

Career counselling is one of the unique features of the Training and Placement Cell at Dr. C. V. Raman University. Through individual analysis, we counsel students on various career options, mapping them with their current course. We assist in career exploration and help them align with their future goals.

The counselling service also aims to understand the problems students face and prepares them mentally to fulfil their academic and personal potential.

Internships

We provide internships and in-house training with corporate organizations to give our students comprehensive industry orientation, helpful in polishing their skills before starting their actual careers.

Dr. C. V. Raman University explores and provides internship opportunities across various sectors like banking, IT, and non-profit organizations for Management, Commerce, Science, and Humanities students.

• BSc (Agriculture) students get internships with leading companies like ‘Gramophone’.
• RAWE and READY programs for BSc Agriculture final-year students under the ‘Happy Harda’ Project.

Internship Partners and Opportunities

Some of Our Internship Partners in 2023-24 are:

• Hindustan Abhikaran: Our Management and Commerce students completed their internship at the company head office in Khandwa.
• Internship opportunities for humanities students in District Courts and local NGOs.
• We also provide internship opportunities to students from other institutions, which is unique in East Nimar.

In April 2022, we conducted an internship program for ‘Government Degree College’ Khandwa’s Home Science students on topics such as:

• Nursery Management
• Seed Technology
• Kitchen Gardening

This was a 7-day internship program successfully conducted by the Training & Placement Cell.

International Internships

Dr. C. V. Raman University stands out by providing international internship opportunities. Recently, the university sponsored an international internship for a BBA 2024 batch student to Germany. This initiative highlights our commitment to offering unique and global opportunities for our students.
