Growth in agriculture propels economic development of the country. Majority of our population directly or indirectly depends on agriculture. Agriculture education therefore tops the priority in higher education. The comfortable food grain situation that the country enjoys is the result of skilled human resource developed, technological capabilities created for HRD and development of technology and their dissemination to the highly receptive farming community. The need of the hour therefore is to develop the human resources through an effective agricultural education system with emphasis on skill who will be primarily responsible for green, white, yellow, and blue revolutions signifying respectively increase in food grain, milk, oilseed and fish production. The faculty of agriculture in Dr. C. V. Raman University has introduced UG level course which promises good prospectus for not only an excellent career but also to ensure excellent job opportunity. The course in B.Sc. (Ag.) provides hands on training in farming, food processing, horticulture animal husbandry production and various other related fields which will transform a student in to a complete professional.
